JonCake is a pastry shop located in Barcelona that only sells cheesecakes. Its owner, Jon García, decided to persue his dream at 27 years old and leave his career in engineering aeronautics to become a cook.
Later, he perfected his cheesecake's recipe and decided to open this shop with the help of a small team. JonCake offers a variety of original cheesecakes, from the most classical one to cakes made with blue cheese or French Brie.

Jon García greets us with a smile on his face and is willing to talk about his life-changing decision to reorient his professional career. He took the risk of starting a business during the pandemic: opening a cheesecake pastry shop in the center of Barcelona, Spain, without knowing if he was going to be successful.
"The perfect cheesecake is different for everyone, becuase every palate is different. For me, it's important that it tastes like cheese, without marmalades nor traps".

But, putting his passion and love in what he does, he has come a long way in only two years. Even though he opens the shop at noon, most days he runs out of cheesecakes at 3 p.m., and customers wait in long lines on the street. His pastries have become very popular on social media, as well as in Barcelona.
